On November 9, 2023, the strategic cooperation signing ceremony for the "Chinese + Vocational Skills" youth training project between Tang International Education Group and Pertubuhan Kebangsaan Pekerja Berkemahiran (PKPB) and 11 vocational colleges was successfully held at the Malaysian Parliament House. Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the National Vocational Education Council, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, attended the ceremony and witnessed the signing, marking a new level of Sino-Malaysian vocational education cooperation in the current situation.

2023 marks the 49th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries. In various aspects such as diplomacy, investment, culture, and education, positive progress and achievements have been made between the two countries this year. Malaysian Prime Minister, Yang Amat Berhormat Dato' Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim has visited China twice in the past six months, and high-level exchanges between the two countries have laid a solid foundation for cooperation.

During the official visit of Malaysia Prime Minister Anwar to China on March 31, 2023, President Li Jinsong was invited to attend the "Dinner for the Malaysian Prime Minister and the Chinese Business Delegation" and proposed to strengthen cooperation in vocational education between the two countries. Through Sino-Malaysian vocational international cooperation, the most advanced vocational education and technology in China will be transferred to Malaysia to assist local enterprises and economic development, preparing an ample supply of highly skilled professionals. Tang International's proposal received positive affirmation from Prime Minister Anwar and active responses from various Malaysian vocational education management departments and units. President Li Jinsong subsequently visited Malaysia to engage in in-depth discussions with local vocational education authorities, schools, and businesses, promoting deeper international cooperation in Sino-Malaysian vocational education in the post-pandemic era.

In May of this year, Tang International reached a cooperation agreement with PKPB, launching the Sino-Malaysian "Chinese + Vocational Skills" youth vocational training project to prepare an ample supply of highly skilled professionals, especially for Chinese-funded enterprises in the local area. The project received high attention from the Malaysian government. On May 28, it was officially introduced and launched by Malaysian Prime Minister, Dato' Seri Anwar and Minister of Youth and Sports of Malaysia, Hannah Yeoh. On July 2, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Malaysia, Adam Adli personally saw off the first batch of trainees going to China for training. Based on the successful practice of the project in the early stage, all parties unanimously agreed to expand the scale of cooperation, with more outstanding Malaysian vocational colleges joining the project, and the project signing and launch were completed at this event. It is worth mentioning that Tang International Education Group is the first international enterprise approved to conduct project launches within the Malaysian Parliament House.

In the meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid, President Li Jinsong expressed gratitude for the support and efforts of the relevant government departments and vocational schools in Malaysia for Sino-Malaysian vocational education cooperation. He also proposed to cooperate with the Malaysian government to carry out the systematic "Sino-Foreign Vocational Technology Education Cooperation 210 Project" currently successfully promoted by TANG in Thailand and Pakistan. Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid highly affirmed the "Sino-Malaysian Vocational Technology Education Cooperation 210 Project" and expressed full support for the project to land successfully. He stated that "Malaysia should do better than Thailand, Pakistan, or other countries in this project." Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi also announced during the signing ceremony that the PKPB of Malaysia will take the lead in rapidly promoting the establishment of the "China-Malaysia Institute, CMI" to promote mutual learning, mutual benefit, mutual assistance, and common development of vocational schools in Malaysia and China through international cooperation.

Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi also explicitly instructed that, through the "China-Malaysia Institute, CMI," a model of Malaysia-China vocational education cooperation will be established. Tang International Education Group and the PKPB will send expert representatives to work with the working committee of the vocational education committee to jointly implement the establishment of the center. He will personally communicate with the relevant leaders of the Chinese government to ensure that the " China-Malaysia Institute, CMI " smoothly lands with the support of the two governments.

President Li Jinsong also announced during the event that, in order to promote vocational education cooperation between China and Malaysia, with the support of the China Embassy in Malaysia, the Malaysian Ministry of Education, the Malaysian Ministry of Human Resources, the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education, and the Pertubuhan Kebangsaan Pekerja Berkemahiran (PKPB), Tang International will host the second China-Malaysia Vocational Education Exhibition in Kuala Lumpur from December 11 to 13, 2023. The platform will be established for vocational colleges in China and Malaysian vocational colleges under various departments to build a multi-level, multi-disciplinary, and multi-type vocational education cooperation communication platform.

Taking advantage of the results of this event, Tang International will establish closer cooperation with relevant government departments in Malaysia, actively coordinate with excellent colleges and universities in China to promote the implementation of the "Sino-Malaysian Vocational Technology Education Cooperation 210 Project." Supported by digital education technology, it will serve digital, systematic, and high-quality Sino-Malaysian vocational education international cooperation, and contribute to the cooperation between the two countries' industries with the training of internationally competitive technical and skilled talents in Malaysia, thus serving the high-quality development of the "Belt and Road."
