On December 28, the Chinese language and Culture College of Huaqiao University, College of Chinese language and Culture of Jinan University, Tang Chinese International Education Group, together with the School of China language and Literature of Beijing Foreign University, International College of Chinese Language and Culture of Hunan Normal University, International College of Chinese Studies Shanghai Normal University, and College of International Culture of Northwest normal University, they jointly launched the "Global Chinese teacher Micro-class Competition". Professor Jia Yimin, former president of Huaqiao University, and experts from various colleges attended the meeting to make suggestions for the upcoming global Chinese Teaching Micro-class Competition.

At the meeting, Ms. Wang Caihong, Director of the Strategic Cooperation Department of Tang Chinese International Education Group, she made an overall introduction and report on the National Graduate Chinese Teaching Micro-class Competition.Professor Jia Yimin highly summarized and praised the micro-class competition, he saying that the global Chinese teaching micro-class competition is great significance. At present, Chinese education is in the stage of transformation and upgrading, and improve the quality of teaching. Through the competition, they can find many theoretical problems,such as teaching methods, ontological research, teaching content, which are worth to studying and discussing in teaching. These competition resources as role of the resource bank that can let the participate units, domestic and abroad countries share all these resources. The micro-class competition applies its own advantages and improves the teachers' ability to use modern information education technology in class politely. It is conforms to transform and upgrading current education.

The participating experts attending the meeting with in-depth discussion about the global Chinese teaching micro-class competition. Finally, the meeting decided on the name of the competition and the participants were Chinese teachers from all over the world, they were formed a domestic and foreign experts group to discuss the competition methods, contents and other relevant details. Prior to the meeting, Dean Shao Yi of Jinan University's College of Chinese Language and Culture, he made a special trip to Beijing. Through the communication, he suggested that Jinan University's Chinese College should host the first global Chinese teaching micro-class competition. The expert committees of the competition unanimously approved this proposal. It is also scheduled to hold a micro-class competition kick-off meeting in Guangzhou’s Jinan University in March 2020 to further discuss and release the competition regulations.

Finally, Professor Wu Heping mentioned that the Global Chinese Teaching Micro-class Competition has taken a very big step forward. From Hanshuo to Chinese education, from the whole country to the whole world, it is an inevitable extension of "Internet + International Education." He highly summarized the three major meanings of the competition: first, pooling resources, the contest can mobilize global forces to jointly build shared resources; second, promote exchanges, share experiences and wisdom with Chinese teachers in various regions of the world; third, to reform the classroom, the intervention of information technology has changed the form of the classroom, so that the use of micro-classes in the classroom should become the norm. Through the competition, it were linked the power of global Chinese education and the concern for Chinese education together. This is the value of the global Chinese teaching micro-class competition.
