The Award Ceremony of the First Global Chinese Teaching Micro-lecture Contest and the Global Chinese Teaching Information Seminar jointly initiated by the College of Chinese Language and Culture, Jinan University and Chinese Language and Culture College of Huaqiao University and Tang Chinese was held online at 20:00 (Beijing time) on January 19th! Professor Jia Yimin, the former President of Huaqiao University, the convener of the steering committee of Shao Yi, the President of Jinan University, and the President of Tang Chinese, Mr. Li Jinsong, and more than 100 experts and scholars from more than 20 countries and regions participated in this online conference.

The 1st Global Chinese Teaching Micro-lecture Contest Award Ceremony and Global Chinese Teaching Informatization Conference was Held Ceremoniously

Since the first Global Chinese Teaching Micro-lecture Contest (hereinafter referred to as the "Micro-lecture Contest") started in April 2020, more than 500 Chinese teachers who from 22 countries and regions around the world have signed up for the contest. A total of 154 work packages (346 entries) have been collected from individual contest (China group), individual contest (Overseas Group) and group contest.

The first half of the conference was presided over by Associate Professor Yang Wanbing, Associate Dean of the College of Chinese Language and Culture, Jinan University. Professor Shao Yi, Dean of the College of Chinese Language and Culture, Jinan University. Mr. Li Jinsong, President of Tang Chinese, and Associate Professor Hu Jiangang, Associate Dean of the Chinese Language and Culture College of Huaqiao University, they delivered speeches on behalf of the organizer. In his speech, President Shao Yi mentioned that through the epidemic, everyone has felt the importance of online teaching and curriculum resource construction. It is necessary to strengthen the construction of Chinese education resources and pay attention to resource sharing; President Li Jinsong proposed that under the epidemic situation, online teaching and mixed teaching will become the norm of teaching. Normally, it is necessary to provide excellent micro-lectures for overseas Chinese teachers in dual-teacher classrooms. At the same time, according to the epidemic situation and teaching requirements, Chinese teachers must master modern educational tools to carry out multi-mode teaching work.

Finally, Vice President Hu Jiangang gave a high evaluation to the works of micro-lecture contest, he believed that the micro-lecture contest works are professional, typical and innovative. Based on the online background, it provides a solid foundation for better "using teaching materials rather than just teaching materials" in Chinese teaching, which is the important value and significance of this contest.

The second half was presided by Professor Wu Heping, Dean of the School of International Cultural Exchange of Northwest Normal University. Zheng Shuping, Executive President of Dan Hua Culture and Education Center in the Netherlands, introduced the significance of this micro-lecture contest, and she shared the mobilization and organization process of this contest, introduced the school’s participation in the contest, and demonstrated the demeanor of the participating teachers; Professor Peng Xiaochuan from the College of Chinese Language and Culture, Jinan University gave a report from four aspects: the direction of micro-lecture production efforts, the foundation of building micro-lecture efficient classroom, the key to micro-lecture efficient classroom, and the guarantee of win-win situation between Chinese teaching and the spread of Chinese culture.

Subsequently, Zhang Yan, a teacher from the College of Chinese Language and Culture, Jinan University, Shen Tuo, a teacher from the Bayhua trilingual School in Indonesia, and Zeng Lijuan, a teacher from the International College of Chinese Language & Culture Hunan Normal University , they made speeches as representatives of the award-winning contestants of the individual contest (China Group), individual contest (Overseas Group) and team competition. Everyone affirmed the influence and value of this micro-lecture contest and expressed the new requirements for teaching informatization. It is the embodiment of the requirements of teachers' comprehensive ability, and everyone has learned a lot from it.
