On October 28, 2022, Guizhou Vocational and Technical College of Water Resources and Hydropower, Government Polytechnic Institute (Sukkur), Sindh Technical Education & Vocational Training Authority (STEVTA) and Tang International Education Group gathered in the platform. Witnessed by the leaders of all parties, the “CCTE Model Modern China-Pakistan Dual-Diploma Joint Education Program Signed a Quadripartite Collaboration Agreement and the China-Pakistan Silk Road College Unveiling Ceremony” was held grandly.

Tang International Education Group joined hands with Guizhou Province, a major water resources infrastructure construction province in China, to fill the gap in vocational and technical education in the field of water resources and hydropower construction engineering in Pakistan, marking that another professional standard of China vocational education has officially landed in Pakistan.

Chairman Mr. Saleem Raza Jalbani of STEVTA, said that the friendship between the people of China and Pakistan has a long history. The ancient Silk Road more than 2,000 years ago closely linked the two peoples. The two countries formally established diplomatic relations in 1951, opening a new chapter in the history of China-Pakistan friendship.

In recent years, the two countries have established a collaboration layout centered on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. Sindh Province has been looking forward to collaborating with China Hydropower Vocational College to meet the urgent demand for hydropower talents in multiple infrastructure projects in the construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.

Managing Director Mr. Ghulam Mustafa Suhag emphasized that the project is of great significance to the development of the STEVTA, and said that the STEVTA will fully support the high-quality implementation of the program. At the same time, he also hopes that all parties will work together to make this program a benchmark for China-Pakistan education collaboration and serve the China-Pakistan industry.

He hoped to use this collaboration as a link to further strengthen China-Pakistan practical collaboration in education, improve the level of opening up in Guizhou, improve the breadth and depth of education collaboration between Guizhou and Pakistan, promote the establishment of a more friendly government-institutes-enterprise relationship, strengthen the educational counterpart exchange between Guizhou and Pakistan’s Sindh Province, and continuously expand collaboration in multiple fields.

Secretary Mr. Yang Zhihong of Guizhou Vocational and Technical College of Water Resources and Hydropower said in his speech that Guizhou water resources relies on the college’s advantageous major “Water Resources and Hydropower Construction Engineering” and the excellent public vocational college under the STEVTA - Government Polytechnic Institute (Sukkur) launched the CCTE program collaboration, closely following the current market demand in Pakistan, and is committed to cultivating local high-quality compound technical talents that are extremely scarce in this field in the current talent market in Pakistan, jointly promote the development and innovation of Pakistan’s vocational and technical education system, and contribute to the high-quality construction of the “Belt and Road”. All parties will join hands to be practitioners and contributors to a closer China-Pakistan community of shared future in the new era.

President Mr. Li Jinsong said in his speech that the signing of the four parties and the unveiling of the China-Pakistan Silk Road College will promote the integration and development of China’s vocational education system and Pakistan’s vocational education system, will definitely train a group of local water resources and hydropower construction technical and skill talents for Pakistan, serving the China-Pakistan economic corridor and the construction of water conservancy and hydropower infrastructure in Sindh Province, and further promote the people-to-people bond between China and Pakistan. Adhering to the mission of “Sharing Chinese as a gift to the whole world”, people of Tang International Education Group are determined to forge ahead, and with the support of policies such as China’s education opening to the outside world, it has made contributions to China’s education going global and Sino-foreign educational exchanges and collaboration.
