China-Pakistan “Internet +” International Education and Industry-Education Integration Seminar was successfully held

In order to implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on building a community of shared future for mankind, respond to the important measures of the country's higher education opening to the outside world, promote vocational education to better serve the “Belt and Road” construction and the construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, and deepen the China-Pakistan vocational education industry. Therefore, as an important part of the 23rd China International Education Annual Conference, the sub-forum of the China-Pakistan “Internet +” International Education and Industry-Education Integration Seminar was successfully held at Beijing International Convention Center on 17th February 2023.



The purpose of this conference is to strengthen and consolidate the collaboration between the two countries in international education and integration of industry and education. This conference was jointly organized by the China Education Association for International Exchange, Tang International Education Group and the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Beijing. More than 600 guests from government agencies, enterprises and institutes of China and Pakistan gathered together to attend this conference.

This conference was presided over by Wang Qingyuan, President of Chengdu University. Mr. Liu Limin, President of China Education Association for International Exchange, attended this conference and delivered a speech. He said that the China-Pakistan “Internet +” International Education and Industry-Education Integration Symposium is an important part of the China International Education Annual Conference. This conference actively researched and explored how to build a digital international education system, and how to promote the construction of the “Belt and Road” through the integration of industry and education, which has very important practical value and reference significance.


At the same time, he also emphasized that Pakistan is the country that provides the most Chinese government scholarships in China. From 2020 to 2021, the total number of Pakistani international students is 24,497, including 5,805 Chinese government scholarship students. The in-depth collaboration between the two countries in the field of education has made important contributions to building a closer China-Pakistan community with a shared future in the new era, benefiting the two peoples, and maintaining regional peace and stability.


He said that it is necessary to further promote close exchanges at all levels in the field of education, build a digital education exchange platform, enrich and expand the connotation of educational collaboration, and provide talents and intellectual support for the construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.


President Liu Limin also recognized the “China-Pakistan International Industry-Education Collaboration Alliance” initiated by this conference and a series of China-Pakistan education collaboration project signing projects. He also hoped that all parties participating in the conference would take this seminar as an opportunity to discuss exchanges and deepen pragmatic collaboration. Jointly promote China-Pakistan educational collaboration and exchanges and the integration of production and education to a higher level and achieve greater achievements.

Mr. H.E Moin ul Haque, Ambassador Pakistan to China, attended this conference and delivered a speech. He said, “China is an important destination and a very ideal choice for Pakistani students to study abroad. Through educational exchanges between students, it has also made positive and important contributions to deepening the friendship between the two peoples.” He hopes that Pakistani youths will study in China, share the dividends of scientific and technological progress through education and industrial collaboration, and contribute to the happiness and well-being of the Pakistani people.

Witnessed by more than 600 domestic and foreign guests, the “China-Pakistan International Industry-Education Collaboration Alliance” was established. The alliance is a common work and service platform for governments, institutions, associations, and enterprises. The establishment of the alliance will better promote Chinese and Pakistani colleagues to invest more advantageous international collaboration resources in Pakistan with the use of CCTE modern education model to carry out exchanges and collaboration in school-running concepts, professional construction, curriculum standards, teacher training, industry-university-research exchanges and collaboration, etc. It will improve the quality, level and international influence of alliance members. Jointly promote China-Pakistan vocational education in-depth research, mutual learning, and win-win development, and help the high-quality development of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.


Mohammad Amar, secretary-general of the Pakistani side of the China-Pakistan International Industry-Education Collaboration Alliance, pointed out that in the next few years, the alliance will help Pakistan introduce 210 advanced vocational standards from China into the Pakistani vocational education system, construct 210 branch campuses of Chinese universities in Pakistan, construct 36 China-Pakistan Vocational Education Excellence Training Centers, more than 1,000 international courses, carry out teacher training for more than 30,000 teachers, introduced more than 10,000 foreign students to China, solve the internship and employment of 50,000 students, and provide “Mandarin + Vocational Skills” training for 100,000 Pakistani students.


Up to now, more than 300 Chinese and Pakistani universities and more than 80 enterprises have jointly initiated the establishment of the alliance.


Dozens of government agencies, enterprises, and institutes in China and Pakistan have signed cooperation projects for the integration of production and education, and the modernization of higher education, international collaboration agreements such as CCTE dual-diploma collaboration projects in vocational and technical education to strengthen collaboration and jointly promote the sustainable development of China-Pakistan education.


Chinese and foreign guests had a lively discussion on the theme of “China-Pakistan Educational Collaboration Under the Background of Digital Education Internationalization”, “Deepen China-Pakistan Inter-school Collaboration and Promote High-quality Development of ‘Mandarin + Vocational Skills”, “Industry-education Integration Serves the Construction of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor”.


This conference is an important measure to respond to the opening up of the country’s higher education, and it also opened a new chapter in China-Pakistan “Internet +” international education and integration of production and education.
